We value your feedback! Help us improve NotiGrid by reporting bugs, suggesting features, or sharing your experience.

Using the Feedback Widget

The easiest way to report issues is using our integrated feedback widget, powered by Userback.

Accessing the Widget

The feedback widget is available in the NotiGrid Dashboard. Look for the feedback button in the bottom-right corner of the screen.

To open the widget:

  1. Click the feedback icon (speech bubble) in the bottom-right corner
  2. Or use the keyboard shortcut: Ctrl/Cmd + Shift + F

Reporting a Bug

  1. Click the feedback button
  2. Select "Report a Bug"
  3. Describe the issue:
    • What you were trying to do
    • What happened instead
    • Steps to reproduce
  4. Add screenshots (optional but recommended):
    • Click "Take Screenshot"
    • Highlight or annotate the problem area
    • Add arrows, boxes, or text to clarify
  5. Record your screen (optional):
    • Click "Record Screen"
    • Reproduce the issue
    • Stop recording
  6. Add technical details (automatically captured):
    • Browser and version
    • Screen resolution
    • Console errors
    • Your user information
  7. Click "Send Feedback"

Suggesting a Feature

  1. Open the feedback widget
  2. Select "Request a Feature"
  3. Describe your idea:
    • What problem does it solve?
    • How would it work?
    • Who would benefit?
  4. Add mockups or examples (optional):
    • Screenshot examples from other tools
    • Hand-drawn sketches
    • Links to similar features
  5. Click "Send Feedback"

General Feedback

  1. Open the feedback widget
  2. Select "General Feedback"
  3. Share your thoughts:
    • What do you like?
    • What could be better?
    • Any suggestions?
  4. Click "Send Feedback"

The feedback widget includes powerful annotation tools:

Arrow - Point to specific elements Rectangle - Highlight areas Text - Add notes and labels Pen - Free-hand drawing Blur - Hide sensitive information

How to Use

  1. Take a screenshot
  2. Select an annotation tool
  3. Click and drag to add annotations
  4. Add multiple annotations if needed
  5. Click "Next" when done

Privacy Protection

Automatically blurred:

  • API keys displayed on screen
  • Email addresses in examples
  • Phone numbers
  • Credit card information

Manually blur:

  • Click the blur tool
  • Draw over any sensitive data
  • Information will be unreadable in screenshot

Screen Recording

For complex issues, record a video:

Starting a Recording

  1. Open feedback widget
  2. Click "Record Screen"
  3. Choose what to record:
    • Entire Screen - Everything visible
    • Application Window - Just your browser
    • Browser Tab - Only the current tab
  4. Click "Share" to start recording
  5. Reproduce the issue
  6. Click "Stop Recording" when done

Recording Tips

Do:

  • Speak while recording to explain what you're doing
  • Keep recordings under 2 minutes
  • Show the problem clearly
  • Start from a known state

Don't:

  • Include sensitive data (blur in post-editing)
  • Record unnecessary steps
  • Rush through actions

Best Practices

When Reporting Bugs

Do:

  • Include reproduction steps
  • Add screenshots or recordings
  • Specify expected vs actual behavior
  • Mention when it started happening
  • Test in incognito/private mode first

Don't:

  • Just say "it doesn't work"
  • Skip reproduction steps
  • Include passwords or API keys in screenshots
  • Expect instant fixes

When Requesting Features

Do:

  • Explain the problem you're solving
  • Describe who would benefit
  • Provide use case examples
  • Check if it already exists
  • Vote on existing requests

Don't:

  • Demand features
  • Submit duplicates
  • Skip the "why"
  • Be vague
